Hi, I’m Rebecca Bryden from Burnaby, BC, Canada and I’m honored to be nominated for the position of Vice President of the Ameri-Can Stabyhoun Association (ASA). As both a devoted Stabyhoun owner and an advocate for our growing North American Stabyhoun community, I hope to bring fresh perspective and stronger representation from both the West Coast and Canada to the ASA board.
My journey with this wonderful breed began in 2021 when I brought home my Stabyhoun, Ginny. Since then she’s become a treasured member of our family and pretty much goes everywhere with us. Ginny spends much of her summer on our small sailboat, exploring the beautiful West Coast of Canada with my husband, our Chihuahua cross and me. These adventures have deepened my appreciation for the Stabyhoun’s versatility and their true “stand by me” nature.
I am thrilled to be expecting my first litter of Stabyhouns any day now and I am eager to get more involved in the Association. I attended the NorthWest Specialty in Tacoma, Washington in 2023, where I had a fantastic time meeting so many amazing Stabys and their owners. I truly love connecting with other Stabyhoun enthusiasts, even if it means holding up traffic at the BC Ferries terminal just to say hi to another Staby!
As a West Coast Canadian member, I would love to help strengthen connections across our community and ensure that every Stabyhoun owner feels included and represented. Thank you for considering my candidacy.
